This train was the last privately-run streamliner in the United States. The line was discontinued several yearfs ago. This route was the final remnant of the California Zephyr that ran from Chicago to San Francisco. The DRGW route only ran from Salt Lake City to Denver, but it was a wonderful train. America - and the American people- lost a great deal when our great passenger trains were terminated.
I'm a semi-retired architect/college professor. My career took me all over the USA and overseas, too.
